The Stark Museum of Art first opened on November 29, 1978. There was no fanfare, only dinner at J.B.’s for the extraordinary team of people who came together from near and far to open the museum’s doors to the public. Dr. Julie Schimmel, curator of the inaugural collection, will speak of those times, people, and art.
