The Stark Museum of Art will host a presentation of John James Audubon: In the Wild on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at 6:30 p.m.   This slide talk will explore the art of John James Audubon in relation to the Stark Museum of Art's special exhibition Celebrate Shangri La.  It will focus on Audubon's experiences on his last major expedition to see animals in their natural habitat, when the artist traveled up the Missouri River.

This event is open to the public at no charge and will take place in the Education Center, 812 Green Avenue.  A reception and book signing of Audubon in the West: The Last Expedition: Mammals of North America by Sarah E. Boehme, director of the Stark Museum of Art, will follow in the museum, 712 Green Avenue.  Copies of the book will be available for purchase in the Museum Store.
