Hunt is a former director of the Stark Museum of Art.

  • American Art XXI, no. 2 (1989): 23 - 62.
    The artist’s own account of his two years of travel along the northern fur-trade route, reproduced as exactly as possible. The journal was transcribed by MacLaren from the original in the Stark Museum of Art collection. Paul Kane, Journal kept on his 1846-48 journey. 11.85/5.

    Exhibition catalogue celebrating the 125th anniversary of the birth of the Russian born artist. Sixteen works from the Stark Museum of Art collection are featured, including one wood sculpture.

  • Documents the artist’s life as student, commercial artist, and cowboy artist among the Taos Society of Artists. Includes selected bibliography and catalogue of all known works. Schimmel is a former curator of the Stark Museum of Art.

Artists include members of The Taos Society of Artists, John James Audubon, Nicolai Fechin, Paul Kane, Frederic Remington, Charles Marion Russell and others.

    Collection catalogue detailing the works of England’s ceramic modeller, Dorothy Doughty. The Stark Museum’s collection is a complete set of both the American and British bird series by Doughty. The text notes the artist’s evolution from an untrained modeller to a creator of fine works. Includes catalogue entry on each work of art.

  • Collection catalogue highlighting scenes of Americana as etched in the Steuben Crystal bowls and the history of the glass company itself.     This article explores the collaboration of the Omohundro Institute of Early American History & Culture and Steuben Glass on a project resulting in the United States in Crystal, of which the only known complete set resides in the Stark Museum of Art. The United States in Crystal. 41.8/1.
