Director Sarah Boehme invited families saying, “We want parents and grandparents to drop by with their children to enjoy the activities during the Stark Museum’s first, but definitely not last, family day event. We have added to our staff a new educator to present public programs, Amelia Wiggins, and she has great plans developed.” Amelia Wiggins has a bachelor of fine arts degree in Painting and Art History from Maryland Institute College of Art. She previously worked at The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland, as Educational Events Assistant.

Fall Family Day is a celebration of the Stark Museum of Art’s 30th Anniversary and is organized in conjunction with its newest exhibition, Thirtieth Anniversary Treasures, which runs from August 19 to October 29. The exhibition offers a new look at the breadth and depth of the museum’s collections and features works of art never before displayed to the public.

Boehme added the event is planned for families to enjoy together. Children under twelve must be accompanied by an adult.
