Another key feature of the site is the information provided on the Foundation’s programs – The W.H. Stark House, Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center, the Stark Museum of Art, the Lutcher Theater, and The Miriam Lutcher Stark Contest in Reading and Declamation – including a brief history and details on how each program contributes to the Foundation’s mission. Links to the individual program Web sites are provided, along with a master calendar that details all program and Foundation events.
Finally, the Web site offers grant information and guidelines for grant applicants. The grantmaking aspect of the Stark Foundation furthers the mission of the Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation by assisting organizations that seek to improve education, health, medical care, and social services in the Southeast Texas area and to enrich the local community with arts and culture.
