The Artist’s Hand: The Art of Nicolai Fechin

October 5 - December 29, 2007

The bold touch of the artist Nicolai Fechin (1881-1955) is evident in his paintings, drawings and sculpture. Fechin, an emigrant from Russia, found a new artistic home in New Mexico, where he created his most memorable works. The exhibition included portraiture, landscapes, still lifes, and scenes of Indian life. Works from the collection of the Stark Museum of Art.
