The Stark Museum of Art will offer free art classes for children during the week of spring break for Orange County schools. The classes are open to any child in grades 1-8. Participants will have the opportunity to make art and take inspiration from art in the museum.
Advance application is required. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 20 children per class. To apply, please fill out the application form attached below. All four pages must be signed by both parents. Mail or fax the completed application to the address below. Parents will be notified of their child’s acceptance.

Tuesday, March 8 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Squiggles and Swirls Grades 1-2
Paint with watercolor, draw with pastel, and explore shapes in art during this action-packed class for young artists.
Tuesday, March 8 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Tall Tales Grades 3-5
Join us as we tell make-believe stories and create drawings in the museum. Then, we’ll illustrate our own story book to take home.
Wednesday, March 9 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Crazy Clay Grades 1-2
Come play with clay! We will squish, roll, coil and pinch to make pots and sculptures inspired by the ceramic art in the museum.
Wednesday, March 9 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Thirst for 3-D Grades 6-8
Explore art in three dimensions at the museum, learn how artists cast in bronze, and create your own multimedia sculptures to take home.
Friday, March 11 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Art for Giants Grades 3-5
Supersized art is the theme of this class. Come paint on easels with big brushes, collaborate to make a mural, and learn about the biggest art at the museum.
Friday, March 11 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Animal Adventure Grades 6-8
Join us as we search for animals in the museum and make art crawling with critters. We will learn about artist John James Audubon and make animal prints to take home.
